Working to a priority order rather than a task list
A list implies everything gets done. In an escorted area that is frequently untrue, so the work is arranged as a priority order instead: what is done first, what is done next, and what is done only if time allows. The cleaner then works down it and stops when the escort needs to leave, which produces a predictable and defensible outcome rather than a random selection of finished tasks.
The order is set by the client because it involves their judgement about what matters in that area. Amenities before floors, waste before dusting, or a particular room before everything else. Whatever it is, having it decided in advance means the cleaner is not standing in a restricted room weighing priorities while somebody waits at the door for them. Deciding it once removes a difficult judgement from every future escorted attendance.
